Defining the "War on Terror"

Kevin Drum begins this post by writing, "One of these days I'll get around to writing a longer post on this subject. . . ." One of these days, I'll do the same. But for now I'll just link to his post, which opens up the question of where the greatest threat to our security comes from, and whether the war we are currently fighting is genuinely capable of addressing that threat.
